I've had many inquiries regarding outdoor seed choices. The following info will serve as a reasonable guide in assisting you.
There are several ways to look at your needs but the main thing to consider is where are you growing, ie., close to home or out in the bush??
If you are growing in the bush you would be best with an early harvest strain. This is partly due to seasonal concerns, ie., rain, early cold, etc., and the real problem is having bright green plants in the midst of fall colours...a dead giveaway.
As for close to home, this really opens it up as you can protect your plants from long periods of fall rains simply by building a temporary cover...not a good idea in the bush...lol. By protecting your buds from long spells of rain you remove the threat of bud rot brought on by water getting trapped inside the buds and not drying out. Few things are more disappionting that watching your buds rot from the inside out.
Dr. Atomic has Atomic NL and Atomic Shiva which are both very strong Indica. The beauty of an Indica, especially the Afghani plants are that they can take cold better. They do, however, fair less well with rain due to tightly packed buds that hold moisture. A better plant close to home.
