If you break someone's piece (bong, pipe, grinder etc.) it is a general rule that you should buy them a new one - of equal value. Yes, it was an accident but not only did you just break someone's possessions, you also want them to want to blaze with you again. The thing that doesn't sit well with me about this is when people replace the item they broke with the cheapest piece they can find. I understand being on a budget, it can be super tight. I am talking about the people that can afford to but refuse to. It is almost like a slap in the face "Here you go, sorry I broke your cool locally made glass piece, I bought you a cookie cutter pipe to make up for it".
The next item on the docket is KEEP YOUR BONGS CLEAN PEOPLE! This is a major thing! Not only does bacteria grow in your dirty bong and bong water, but the flavor of your smoke gets diminished. Super important to dump out your water after every sesh and rinse it out. If you can't or don't want to do that, at least use fresh water every time.
Grinders....DO NOT scrape a metal grinder with metal instruments. Even though you think you are cleaning your grinder, you will actually create micro scratches that THC likes to build up in and cause further problems down the road. If you want to keep your grinder for a long time then use a soft bristled brush and if you MUST scrape please use something plastic like a guitar pick. Keep it clean with the appropriate cleaner (Iso, Purple Power, Orange Chronic etc.) with regular cleanings. I usually clean my grinder every few months.
There is my rant for the day about the Stoner Code. Always remember; make good choices!
